The Boats

1. Are the boats electric?

​

 Yes, all our boats are powered by electric and eco friendly.

 

2. How many people are  allowed on the boat?

​

Scoop - a maximum of 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children

​

Whisper / Meander - a maximum 12 people

​

3. Is food and drink allowed on the boat?

​

Yes, food and drink is allowed on the boat.  On passenger trips we ask that you respect other passengers.

Self Drive Hire

1. Can I hire the boat for longer than 2 hours?

​

Our maximum hire period is 2 hours as we do not allow the boats through the locks.  2 hours allows you time to enjoy the river and maybe stop and have a picnic.

​

2.  What happens if it rains?

​

The boats have canopies to protect you from the rain. If the rain is too heavy to be out on the river we will let you know in plenty of time.

​

3. Is my dog allowed on board?

​

Yes, dogs are welcome on your self drive trip. We ask that they do not go on the seats.

Passenger Trips

1.  How Long do trips last?

 

All trips leave on the hour and return to the quay just before the hour so you trip will last 55 minutes.

​

2.  What happens if it rains?

​

The boats have canopies to protect you from the rain. If the rain is too heavy to be out on the river we will let you know in plenty of time.

​

3.Is my dog allowed on board?

​

Yes, dogs are welcome but we ask you to advise on booking so we do not book other dogs on to the same trip as you.

Parking

1. Is there parking on site?

​

As we operate from the quay in St Ives we do not have parking directly next to us but there is plenty of parking in the town.  Follow the link below for more information.

2. Where is the nearest Disabled parking?

​

The nearest Disabled Parking is Market Hill (PE27 5AL). For more information follow the link below

Accessibility

1.  I struggle with mobility, how accessible is the boat?

​

There are steps down from the quay and on to the boat but our friendly staff are available to help you on and off the boat at your own pace. If you would like more information please contact us.

​

2. Do the boats have a toilet on board?

​

No they don't but there are public toilets in St Ives.  For more information follow the link below.

General

1. Do you take cash or card payments?

​

We take either card or cash payments.

​

2. Do children require life jackets?

​

Children 10 years  and under must wear a life jacket and these will be fitted on your arrival. Adult life jackets are on board if required.

 

3. Can we swim from the boat?

 

Swimming and diving from the boat are strictly forbidden, including for any dogs in your party. The use of any water sports and fishing equipment is also strictly prohibited.
