Introducing ‘Trickle’ our new 5 seater electric boat for you to hire as family or small group.
We offer you a fixed mystery route following the map through the new Holt Island ‘Willow Tunnel’, past the 16th Century Parish Church, through the overhanging willows.
Enjoy the rich abundance of flora and fauna.
Did you see the Fox, or the Muntjac deer, or the Kingfisher, or the Wood Pecker. Did you hear the chiffchaff or the blackcap?
Let us know and we will record you sightings in our Trickle’s log book.

We have been operating from the Quay since the Autumn of 2004

*Self Drive Holt Island Willow Tunnel Trip*
NB- NATURE is the master. Although the boats have effective canopies, postponements are often necessary to avoid extreme weather conditions or to avoid times of ’strong stream advice’ or ‘flood advice’ from the Environment Agency.
However TRIPS can become even more exciting in periods of steady rain or through the winter, spring and autumn seaons, when the very special conditions render the river even more beautiful than the summer season. Wildlife still continues its struggle and in these periods one can have the most spectacular encounters with Kingfishers, Herons, Sparrow Hawks, Cormorants and even the odd Otter, Mink or Grass snake. Occasionally seals also visit St Ives.
You have seen that all our Skippers are RYA qualified and trained in river rescue techniques. From time to time you will see us practicing these techniques on the river.
Both boats are fully and expensively insured against third party liability. On board rules apply. Life jackets for all on board if required. At least two life rings on board.
WHISPER & MEANDER are both insured to carry 12 passengers.
